The Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre Singapore has announced a series of initiatives in partnership with the President's Challenge.
To start, all schools will be able to visit the centre on educational learning journeys. The centre will additionally offer local social services agency MINDS and the Rainbow Centre tailored learning journeys for students with intellectual disabilities and autism. Selected benefitting organisations under the President’s Challenge will also be offered these educational opportunities.
The Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre Singapore will also partner with Boon Lay Secondary School, the School of Science and Technology, and River Valley High School on three-day work experiences and will collaborate with Tak Takut Club in the Boon Lay Area to provide tailored three-day work experiences for youth from low-income families.
The centre will also support students from the National University of Singapore, National Technological University, and the LASALLE College of the Arts in their school projects and passion projects. Students at LASALLE are already set to develop branding and promotional videos for the Ioniq series (read our reviews of the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 here and here, respectively). A made-in-Singapore example of the Ioniq 5 is also set to be handed over to Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Institute of Technology for educational and research purposes.
All visitors who book privately arranged tours of the Hyundai's premises and the centre's Discovery Tour will be doing their bit for charity, as all proceeds from these tours will be donated to the President's Challenge.
The Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Centre Singapore will donate excess vegetables from its vertical farm to communities in need all over Singapore through a partnership with The Food Bank Singapore.
Finally, to commemorate the historical significance of the first electric vehicle to be made in Singapore, the centre has also made a vehicle donation to the National Museum of Singapore: This proposed donation will be accessioned into the National Heritage Board's National Collection.
