Honda has updated the Civic Si in the U.S.A.
The sporty sedan gets a more aggressive front fascia for the 2025 model year, alongside a new grille pattern and revised taillights which get a darker appearance. These add to the car's redesigned matte black 18-inch alloy wheels.
Standard features of the Civic Si include LED head lights and taillights and gloss black wing mirrors and window surrounds, while the car also comes with an underbody front spoiler and a gloss black rear spoiler at the rear for increased aerodynamic downforce and improved high speed stability.
Backing these design upgrades are new B-pillar and rear door sill supports for increased body rigidity. Honda states that the dampers of the Civic Si have also been retuned to match this change of body stiffness, and the car is now being offered with stick summer tyres from the factory alongside the standard all-season performance tyres.
Also enhanced is the rev-matching system of the six-speed manual transmission. The system will now blip the throttle for downshifts from second to the first gear and is said to be able to perfectly match revs within 0.43 seconds.
Powering this Civic Si is a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine that develops a total of 197bhp and 260Nm of peak torque. This power is additionally put to the road via a standard helical limited-slip differential.
The Civic is said to be Honda's longest-running automotive nameplate, and the firm has sold more than 12 million iterations of the vehicle in the U.S.A since 1973. The Honda Civic Si, meanwhile, was first introduced in 1986 and has been built in North America for nearly two decades. This 2025 model will be built at the firm's plant in Ontario, Canada while its engine will come from the Honda engine plant in Anna, Ohio.
