Lamborghini debuts new plug-in hybrid Temerario

It has been more than a year since the unveil of the Lamborghini Revuelto, and even less time since the unveil of the new electrified Urus SE. In this time, hallowed names including the Bentley Continental, Mercedes-AMG C63, and BMW M5, have all made the transition to plug-in hybrid power.
Now, Lamborghini's replacement for the Huracan, is also making the same move. The car you see in the pictures, is the Lamborghini Temerario. And in place of a V10, it makes use of a twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain.
You're curious about this new drivetrain, so we won't delay any further. Power for the Temerario comes at a total of 907bhp. All this power comes courtesy of a V8 which gets a flat-plane crankshaft, generates a total of 730Nm of torque, and can rev up to 10,000rpms.
This engine works with a total of three electric motors, each with a peak output of 148bhp. Two of these power the car's front axle, while the third comes integrated with the V8 engine to compensate for any turbo lag. Lamborghini states that this setup allows the Lamborghini Temerario to cut its CO2 emissions by up to 50% compared to the Huracan.
But what probably matters more to most of you, is the fact that this car will now reach 100km/h from a standstill in just 2.7 seconds, and will continue to sprint onto a top speed of 340km/h.
Lamborghini states that the design for the Temerario takes inspiration from the world of aviation, and has been penned to offer a visceral muscularity.
You'll notice that the car gets head lights that take on a more horizontal design, not unlike those we saw on the Lanzador concept. Those hexagonal daytime running lights are also mirrored by the car's hexagonal tailpipes and taillights. While along the flanks, those large air intakes behind the side doors ensure the necessary airflow for the V8 engine's performance.
Look from the top and you'll also note the Temerario's roof features a slightly rearward offset profile, designed to directs the air directly onto its integrated rear wing.
In the cabin, the car also now features a new generation of the firm's Human-Machine Interface, which is presented through an 8.4-inch central display that offers the option to swipe between different themes, and to slide information to either the driver's 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, or the passenger's 9.1-inch screen.
Like what you see? You'll want to note that the Temerario is being launched with two new dedicated colors, Blu Marinus (blue) and Verde Mercurius (green). However, over 400 body colours and special liveries will be available offering clients almost infinite customisation via the firm's Ad Personam programme.
