Porsche has revealed the latest one-off from its Sonderwunsch personalisation programme.
The gorgeous car you see in the photos, is based on a Type 993 911 Carrera Cabriolet, and comes courtesy of Luca Trazzi, Porsche enthusiast, designer and Speedster collector.
Trazzi is said to have always wanted to complete his collection with a Type 993 911 Speedster, and is said to have arrived at this first meeting with Porsche with his own project book full of drafts and sketches and with a very clear and defined project idea on how he wanted to create his individual Speedster.
And this car is the end result. The special car sports conical mirrors typical for sports cars of the era, and also comes with a Speedster-typical rear lid, which was designed by Trazzi himself. You'll note that it also sports the four-point daytime running light of modern Porsche models, while its indicators, taillights and light strip have been reinterpreted.
The car has been finished in Otto Yellow, named after Trazzi's dog and specially developed for the car. These pair with its black 18-inch light alloy wheels in Turbo design that come complete with a fineline in contrasting yellow.
This black and yellow colour scheme is carried into the car's cabin. The car's seat centres, for example, make use of a check design in yellow and black, and feature an embroidered Speedster logo on their headrests. Cabon elements also feature on the car's dashboard, centre console and handbrake and gear levers, while the car's carbon door sill trims are not only illuminated in Otto Yellow, but also carry an individual logo.
The one-off 911 Speedster has retained its engine, chassis, steering and brake system are from the 911 Carrera RS. The air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine is said to be the most powerful engine from Porsche at the time, with a displacement of 3.8 litres generating 296bhp.
