It may be just a bit more than a year since Land Rover unveiled the Range Rover Sport SV, but now the firm has deemed fit to add to its lineup a new Rover Sport SV Edition Two.
Described as the most powerful and dynamic Range Rover Sport yet, this special edition SUV comes powered by a 626bhp twin-turbocharged 4.4‑litre V8 engine which also puts out a peak torque of 750Nm. As with the 'regular' iterations of the Range Rover Sport SV, this engine will see the car sprinting to 96km/h from a standstill in 3.6 seconds.
The Edition Two also continues to come equipped with Land Rover's Hydraulic interlinked 6D Dynamics suspension system with pitch and roll control, which is said to allow the car to maintain a near-level stance even during extreme acceleration, braking, and cornering.
The car's handling chops are further enhanced thanks to the use of a Pilot Sport S 5 tyre specially designed for the car, while carbon ceramic brakes will also be available, sitting behind 23‑inch carbon fibre wheels. Both the use of carbon fibre wheels and carbon ceramic brakes contribute to reduced unsprung mass.
If all this sounds appealing, you'll want to note that the Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two can be had in four unique curations.
These start with the Blue Nebula specification, which finishes the Rover Sport SV in a matte exterior inspired by the Northern Atlantic coast. This specification also adds the Satin Forged Carbon exterior pack, a painted carbon fibre bonnet, and finishes the wheels in black - complemented by a Blue Nebual brake callipers. On the inside, this specification adds the firm's SV Performance Seats, finished in Light Cloud and Ebony Windsor leather.
For a more discreet alternative, there's also the Marl Grey Gloss specification to consider, which comes with the Gloss Carbon Twill exterior pack, an exposed Carbon Twill bonnet, and finishes the 23‑inch wheels in Carbon Gloss paired with Sunrise Copper callipers. This specification comes with a Rosewood and Ebony Windsor interior.
If copper is your colour, however, you might want to visit the Sunrise Copper specification, which comes with the Satin Carbon Twill exterior pack, adds a painted carbon fibre bonnet, and pairs those black 23-inch rims with red anodised callipers. The car's seats here are upholstered in Ebony Windsor leather.
The final Ligurian Black curation also gets the Satin Carbon Twill exterior pack and the exposed carbon fibre bonnet, while its 23-inch Carbon Gloss wheels come with contrasting Nano Yellow brake callipers. This specification also features a Cinder and Ebony interior in Knit and Ultrafabrics PU.
All iterations of the Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two can be had with SV Performance Seats at the front row. These feature integrated headrests, carbon fibre backboards, an illuminated SV logo, and more sculpted bolsters to hold the driver and their front‑seat passenger securely in place during spirited driving, wile offering massage functionality and are additionally heated and cooled for maximum comfort. Cutting‑edge Body and Soul Seat in‑car sensory technology is also fitted as standard.
Customers will also be offered the option to have their car with 22‑inch Diamond‑Turned alloy wheels in Satin Dark Grey alongside different brake caliper colours.
