16 Aug 2024|97 views
Smart has rolled out a free over-the-air update for its #1 and #3 models.
The new update will bring a host of software optimisations and also gives users of both vehicles the option to select their preferred avatar. Users can now opt between the fox or the cheetah, and can additionally specify if they'd prefer their avatar to appear as an animated or static graphic.
Also added with this update are new sound effects for the #1, while there are new engine simulation sounds for the #1 Brabus.
On the more practical front, the cars will also now get a new Low energy regeneration function. Smart states that this will smoothen the application of regenerative braking of its vehicles and raise overall driver and passenger comfort. Smart's vehicles will also now offer vehicle-to-load capability as part of this update, although a dedicated cable is required to allow this functionality. Finally, the firm's infotainment system can also now offer a picture-in-picture 360-degree camera view which can be positioned as desired on the central screen.
