Volkswagen T-Roc R gets Black Edition variant in the U.K.

The Volkswagen T-Roc is getting a stylish new flagship model in the U.K.

The new Volkswagen T-Roc R Black Edition is based on the T-Roc R, but gets a design pack that adds black decorative trim and roof rails as well as black mirror housings, on top of black diamond-turned 19-inch Estoril alloy wheels. The car also comes with a rear-view camera, heated front seats, electronic tailgate and a tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof as standard.

Also added to the list of equipment offered with the Volkswagen T-Roc R Black Edition is the 300W Beats sound system, which comes complete with six speakers, a digital eight-channel amplifier, and a subwoofer.

Performance for the crossover comes from a 296bhp 2.0-litre engine which is paired to a seven-speed gearbox and Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel drive system. This drivetrain allows the car to reach 100km/h from a standstill in 4.9 seconds and to sprint on to a top speed of 250km/h.
