Land Rover is now offering clients the option to purchase a customised and restored Classic Defender V8 from its Land Rover Classic Works Bespoke division.
Each Classic Defender V8 by Works Bespoke comes based on a donor vehicle produced between 2012 and 2016 and is available in both 90 and 110 body designs. Each car is said to undergo a full ground-up restoration that include a host of engineering work and upgrades so customers can be assured of the vehicle's longevity, strength, and enduring quality.
Up front, each Classic Defender V8 gets a genuine Land Rover 299bhp 5.0‑litre petrol V8 that develops a total of 515Nm of torque, paired to an eight-speed ZF transmission and an all-wheel drive system.
Each vehicle is also offered with a personalised range of colours and finishes, so customers can, for example, opt from one of the colours from the firm's defined Heritage, Contemporary, Premium, or SV Metallic palettes, or rely on the firm's match to sample service for a truly bespoke finish.
This exterior can be matched with a choice of either 16‑inch Wolf wheels or 18‑inch Sawtooth alloys, with the former available finished in either black or Limestone. Accessories available for the Classic Defender V8 include a roof rack, expedition cage, ladder, and winch, while clients can also opt to have a set of classic‑style roof‑mounted spotlights, or a full roof‑mounted LED light bar mounted atop their vehicle.
In the cabin, the bespoke Classic Defender V8 by Works Bespoke will come with the Land Rover Classic Infotainment System, which incorporates modern functionality such as satellite navigation, DAB radio and Bluetooth thanks to a 3.5‑inch touchscreen, with an original display and facia.
Each car can also be had with a curated selection of high‑quality parts, including performance‑focussed four‑piston Alcon brakes or the Defender Suspension Upgrade Kit, which adds revised Eibach coil spring rates and anti‑roll bars and Bilstein dampers for excellent on and off‑road comfort and performance.
The Classic Defender V8 by Works Bespoke is set to make its debut at the 2024 Goodwood Revival.
