BMW Neue Klasse test vehicles get first electric engines

Earlier in November 2024, BMW announced that its first Neue Klasse test vehicles have rolled off the production line.
As of 3 December 2024, BMW has announced that the first electric engines for the cars have been produced at Plant Steyr in Austria and have been shipped to Plant Debrecen in Hungary, where the test vehicles are being produced.
BMW has said that Plant Steyr has already launched production of the brand's first sixth-generation electric engines in September 2024, with deliveries of the new e-engine to its development department in Munich in the same month.
The brand also stated that the supply of Plant Debrecen with electric engines from Plant Steyr marks the next important milestone towards the start of series production.
