DSV Singapore to obtain two new Volvo Electric Trucks
19 Oct 2024|154 views
Logistics giant DSV has recently purchased two new Volvo electric trucks for its Singapore branch. The trucks were received during a special handover ceremony at DSV Singapore.
Both trucks, the Volvo FL Electric and the Volvo FM Electric, represent the latest in truck technology and provide zero-emission transport solutions.
The FL Electric is designed for urban distribution and tailored for last-mile deliveries; compact, agile, and having a tight turning radius. In comparison, the FM Electric has a greater payload capacity, having been built for more taxing requirements.
Both trucks are fitted with Volvo's signature all-electric drivetrains, ensuring quieter operations, and bespoke modifications tailored specifically to enhance cargo capacity and overall efficiency.
The brand is also set to unveil a long-range version of its FH Electric truck in 2025. This variant will be able to go up to 600km on a single charge, made possible by Volvo's ingenious e-axle technology.
With both Volvo transitioning towards electric vehicles and DSV's commitment to sustainable practices (and also receiving its first Volvo electric truck last year), having two key sustainable stake-holders in Singapore will greatly benefit its Green Plan 2030.
