Lamborghini has released a detailed description of the new multi-technology spaceframe chassis, designed and built for the new Lamborghini Temerario, which was unveiled at Monterey Car Week 2024 two months ago.
The new chassis was designed to withstand the higher loads deriving from the car's hybrid power unit, combining excellent mechanical qualities with improved efficiency in weight reduction.
These technologies enable a reduction in the spaceframe's constructional complexity, with structural components reduced by half. Lamborghini also states that they allowed for a a high level of functional integration for the Temerario's hybrid powertrain, while the construction archetype's increase in torsional stiffness greatly contributes to its driving dynamics.
Succeeding the legendary Huracan, the plug-in hybrid Temerario is powered by a twin-turbo V8, as well as three electric motors, to produce a maximum of 907bhp. Lamborghini states that it can demolish the century sprint in just 2.7 seconds, before going on to hit a top speed of 340km/h.
